This past Monday, September 28 was Heritage Day in South Africa. What is Heritage Day you may ask? Well, Heritage Day is the celebration of the cultural diversity found all throughout this great nation. With around 49 million people and 11 national languages, there is a lot to celebrate!
The children of Masealama, through the Masealama Youth Development Center performed at the Bjatladi Youth Development “Youth Festival of Arts and Music”. And what a fine celebration and showcase of cultural pride it was. Most of the people in this area speak Sepedi and come from that same associated cultural group.
